News Category: EU Waste Legislation and Guidance Irish to Recycle 75% Packaging Waste 18 November 2009 Ireland has announced a new target of recycling 75% of its packaging waste by 2013.   Minister for the Environment John Gormley said there'd be no 'free rides' as he also launched a pilot to make sure businesses were recycling in 'selected areas'. He called on the packaging industry to focus its efforts on the development of an 'accord' aimed at delivering substantial reductions in packaging waste.
