First Plasma Gasification Plant to be Developed in the USA?

Montgomery, Alabama, may be the first city in the USA to build a plasma gasification plant to reduce the volume of waste currently sent to landfill. If the plant was built, it would make Montgomery the first city in the world to use graphite arc plasma to gasify household waste.
