Theft of Recyclables in Nevada

The head of Southern Nevada's waste services has reported frequent theft of recyclable materials in the area. "We have a significant number of crews that are going out in the morning before our residential recycling trucks hit neighbourhoods and stealing aluminium cans and plastic (PET) water bottles. We believe it's to transport those recyclables into California where they can take advantage of the California redemption value refund ($0.05 - $0.10 per bottle) that they give people."More information is available here:
